Mount Alexander Net Zero Working Group

The key objective of the Mount Alexander Net Zero Working Group  is to inspire and encourage communities and businesses in Mount Alexander Shire to use 100% renewable energy by 2023.

The Net Zero Working Group celebrates and makes visible businesses and sectors within the Mount Alexander Shire community that are moving to 100% clean energy quickly. The group aims to inspire and motivate others by telling stories about bold and  innovative business leaders and schools taking steps to shift the landscape of energy use. They also provide advice and workshops about transitioning to rewnewables.

Mount Alexander New Zero Working Group formed in December 2020. It evolved from MACET, the Mount Alexander Climate Emergency Team, established in 2019 to lead the declaration of a climate emergency. The group is comprised of concerned citizens and business owners of The Mount Alexander Shire.
